Charles Ray
I just bought a 2013 limited last week. the headlights are terrible, and whenever my wife fires up her Kia Optima SXL I get extremely jealous. the problem is my edge is a california spec vehicle. I live in texas so there's no DRL requirement. Theoretically speaking, Can i just take my edge to the dealer and have them disable the DRLs, then use a standard 9006 HID kit(55w with harness) or do i still need to go through some rigamaroll to get them to work? thanks! candurin
Yes, your dealer can disable your headlights as DRLs or they can change your DRLs to the parking lights (which you should NOT do if you plan on purchasing aftermarket DRLs such as daytimebritelights, which are HIGHLY recommended). Then you can get a 9012, 9006 or 9005 bulb hid kit. Just do yourself a favor and get a quality kit. Charles Ray
That's exactly what I plan on doing. Thanks for the advice!
Charles Ray
Good news, A local dealer said they'd hook their IDS up to my edge and turn off the DRLs
