NickSport11
I installed DDM HIDs a few weeks ago and have been happy, but I am haing an issue with the beam pattern. The lower left from each headlight has a shadow. From what I've read it's from the return wire. Well my question is how do I place them in the housing to avoid this? There is only one way they can go in. There are 3 tabs not evenly spaced. If you try to turn the light it does not fit correctly. I bought 9006 bulbs. Should I have gotten something different? Someone please draw a pic. Haha, but it would help. Please help....it's getting dark fast now:( -Nick
candurin
Return wire should face down (between 4 & 7 o'clock) this way you will not see the shadow (the shadow will then be at 11 - 1 o'clock). The shadow is inverse to the wire. You may have to trim the tabs slightly (dremel) to get them to fit/twist).
NickSport11
Thanks I'll try that this weekend. Surprised they don't make a correct bulb
Edgieguy
which bulb are you using?
candurin
According to his post, he's using the 9006 bulb. I had to trim the ddm ones a bit (before I tossed them) in order to get them to fully seat.
