Cellbine
Might be a dumb question, but I have never seen them. Are those black dots on your front bumper parking sensors?
fledgex
Could it be part of the adaptive cruise system?
fredro
Ford's parking assist. Actually pretty useful when parking is tight, and when people are approaching ur car.
Cellbine
Oh cool. I didn't know that option was available on Edges.
Phillmatchett
Looks good. Did you use plasti-dip on your emblems, or something else? I dipped my front emblem, but didn't use the glossifier. Edited September 15, 2013 by Phillmatchett
fredro
tks bro. i only dipped the rims. the ford emblems are after market emblems that attach over the original ones with double sided tape.
rsto
where did you get the emblems at?

sajid.ali
Ford's parking assist. Actually pretty useful when parking is tight, and when people are approaching ur car. Oh cool. I didn't know that option was available on Edges. Did u install a separate parking assist system for front or just connect the front parking sensors to the existing parking assist system? fredro
it was a separate option available thru ford factory that actually integrates with existing parking sensors. comes with entertainment/convenience package. zsasbo
Did you plasti dip the rims while they were on the car and tires on? Did you mask the tire? Looks great!
fredro
i left the rims and tires on. just stuffed newspaper behind the rims to shield the brakes/rotors. real easy. once dry, easily peels off excess overspray on tires. theres a how-to video from cellbine on this forum. pretty in depth too. good luck!

wannabang
I like your truck a lot. Is it lowered, or do your wheels just fill it out? One thing that may be a different, but nice touch, is plasti-dipping the spoiler to make it blend in with the roof. I've been thinking of doing it to mine, but I love that there's that little chrome around the emblem. I'm so happy I left it on mine. fredro
Thanks guys. I didn't lower the ride height, it's all stock.

RytM1
How does the PD on the wheels hold up to car washes, etc.? I was considering trying to do the center of the spokes and leaving the raised lips as silver accents. Would this be a bad idea because it would be leaving an exposed edge of the PD that could start pulling it up?
fredro
its been almost a year since pd'ing the rims. including car washes, hand washes, rain storms, and typical horrible nyc winters (tons of snow storms/road salting), it still looks pretty good. i had to touch up the edges here and there, but its so easy to do and cheap as well. as long as you properly clean intended surface well before applying initial coat, they should last quite a bit. check cellbine's vid on how to properly do it. he's got it covered! (pun intended)
candurin
I've had mine on for just about two years and have had zero issues and look fantastic after cleaning and waxing (even before!). The only touch ups I've done is the very edges where the chrome plastic and steel underneath leave a slight gap.
