abnormal
hi guys my 2007 Edge's liftgate (not power) will no longer stay open by itself. The support cylinders are tired and need replacing. has anyone found a good replacement part for these? or do I need to go to my dealer? thanks Norm 2007 Edge AWD
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Not many options really for replacement. Either Motorcraft, Rhinopac, or Strongarm. I have the Strongarm lifts, and don't really see any improvement over stock. Probably should stay with Ford/Motorcraft.

Kanatronic
I still have a couple of Strong Arms, that I got, test them, but at the end I prefer the Stabilus...those are just tested brand new....if you are interested, just contact me...I will sell them lower than any dealer... foghelmut
I bought a StrongArm 6120 for my 2016 because I can't be bothered to go to the dealer for $20 worth of warranty (I assume its covered), but its about 1" shorter than OEM. Anyone got any info on what the right part is?

candurin
So, I have to ask. Why stabilus over Monroe or vice versa?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Pretty sure the 6120 stops fitting past MY 2014, looking at mfr catalogs. Not finding aftermarket fits yet. The Sachs product has outlasted the Monroe by a significant margin for macbwt. Possibly a case of product quality being >>> warranty.
