Flyguy
I am disappointed to learn that there are two options on my new fully loaded 2013 edge sport (that i really wanted) that Ford does not offer....they are: 1) HID headlamps 2) Adaptive Cruise control Does anyone know why these options are only available on the limited and not the sport?? Flyguy
I was told from the dealer that "HID don't come with the sport due to the darkened look on the lights" and for the ACC I was told "the ACC sensor not available on the sport due to the lower body on the front bumper. Dingo
Those are both lies.
Flyguy
I thought so.....where exactly is the sensor for the ACC on the edge? I have seen some cars have it on the center of the dash near the windshield
omar302
The only way to get the 3.7 Engine and all the options is to get the MKX. For is doing the same thing with the Explorer were some options, including HID headlights, are not available on the Sport.
Flyguy
Very true Omar....however I wouldn't pay the extra $15k+ for the mkx when the edge sport basically has all the same "internal parts" of the mkx. I know that ford must offer more options on the mkx in order to help its sales and justify the price increase from the edge. My beef with ford is that they offer these options on the limited but not the sport! I couldn't even pay extra for them as an option (especially the adaptive cruise control....I know I can do the HIDs on my own through aftermarket)
