RKedge
Brand new, 400 miles, transmission fluid leak, small spot on driveway about 5 inch diameter, bead of fluid at bottom of transmission by long seal-runs front to back. Anyone know what the problem is or have had the problem?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
AWD? Could be the classic PTU seal leak, yes, too early, but possible. EDIT: Never mind, just saw you have a FWD in your other post. Might be a loose plug, just needs tightening? RKedge
I sure hope so...
Larry
I would be knocking on the dealers door. Larry
banditsrt
I've got a leaky transmission too. Just over 3,000 miles. We dropped our SE off at the dealer last week. Since we're in Germany, it might take up to 3 weeks to fix!
RKedge
Well...better than I thought, ended up being an axel seal, could have been something more catastrophic...
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Seems like a lot of these faulty seals continue to get installed at the factory. The repair should hold up better, though.
PrinzII
My wife has told me that she's seen a leak under the Edge. I plan to have this and a litany of other things checked out while I still have a warranty.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
GL with that list, Prinzll. Hopefully the dealer will see the items as "far gone enough" to service them rather than tell you to "come back later" (after warranty expiration).
