Hi.

Just bought a 2013 Sport. Great car, but does anyone know about the seats and what they're made of? I knew these were not full-leather seats (they're "leather-trimmed"), but I can't find any info on them and none of the salesmen know (or they won't tell). I'm asking because I'm a salesman so I'm in my car all day long and not to be disgusting, but these seats are making me sweat like crazy. I was driving an Infinity with leather seats and although they are by no means are cool, I didn't sweat as much. Just wondering if anyone actually knows what part of the "Silver Smoke Metallic leather-trimmed seat inserts" is leather and what's vinyl. It sure seems like the seat surface is vinyl; upon closer inspection, they look vinyl too -- I'm a city boy, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any metallic silver cows. I suppose it's a little late to ask that question, but I still need to know what to use to clean them with. Thanks!

My passenger's side metallic silver cow got caught in some barbed wire while he was still a cow.

 

 

All the parts that touch you when you sit are leather, except the headrest. The leather is coated, though. The absolute best to clean it with is saddle soap, but any leather cleaner from a parts store will work without damage.

Welcome & congrats! The seats don't look like perforated leather, are they perforated in the Infiniti? That might be the difference in "coolness". I don't think the Edge offers cooled seats (the MKX does), that would have been another way to go for you.
