sajid.ali Posted July 29, 2013 Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 Hi, Just installed the Remote Start Kit for my ford edge Part No: BC3Z19G364A Do it myself: installation and Activation through IDS But i observe that the range of the transmitter (as shown in figure-1) is very low. Can any body suggest solution to this? Can we use some other long range keyfob for remote start from some other start kits ( may be from CL3Z-19G364- ?? Looking forward for the expert opinion. omar302 Posted July 30, 2013 Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 As per Ford, the range should be up to 300 ft. http://accessories.ford.com/remote-start-system-rpo-plug-in-play-kit.html With my 2011 MKX, with factory remote start, I can start the car from my 3rd floor apartment without problems.
