Chris Wilson
I have a 2011 Limited and one feature that I really wanted but couldn't find in a used Edge with the Limited trim was the push button start. I was wondering if it's an option that I can have installed (ideally using OEM parts)? Also if I can, is it possible to replace the drivers door handle replaced to allow for the touch lock/unlock functions (assuming the push button start can be installed)? akirby
It would require many parts that you don't have even if its possible and would be cheaper to just trade vehicles.
Dingo
You can do the pushbutton start pretty easily aftermarket. The handle part isn't feasible.
Chris Wilson
Yeah I can find an aftermarket one nearly anywhere. What I wanted was basically the stock set up, but apparently it's not really do-able?
akirby
Not if you're looking for full factory functionality including the door locks.

MICTIP
Thanks Omar302 - you should be the moderator. Looks like one I will use and found a place here in Phoenix that will install it for $225 so total cost is going to run about $600 for the pushbutton start.
