Back Up Camera very grainy at night

Recommended Posts

Actually mine was grainny yesterday after being in the heat all day when I went home and parked in the underground lot. It was fine again this morning. Could be camera has temp related issues. For thoese with grainny camera issue, does it seem to be worse in the hot weather and better during cooler?

An update to this same topic. Had always noticed that at night near my place, the camera display would be grainy, while at my Parents it is clear at night. Then I realized that I park in reverse at my place, meaning the Camera turns on after driving for a certain period, while at my Parents, I would park straight, so when I back up, it would be the 1st thing I do after starting.

So after some testing, I found out that the rear Camera gets grainy at night after driving for some time (maybe heat?) but turning off the car (Center display off) for a few minutes (3-5 minutes) then turning the rear camera on (reverse), the display becomes clear!! Pictures speak for themselves!
