az_edge
Well, my stealthbox was delivered today. The sub and enclosure looks great. Tomorrow the JL Audio JX 500/1D 500W Amp will be delivered. I'll keep anyone interested up to date on the install and the outcome of adding this thing to my Edge. Wish me luck.

az_edge
Ok the amp is in. But....the stealthbox was missing a large bracket. So I called up Crutchfield and JL Audio and they are overnighting the bracket. Also, the instructions that came with the Stealthbox are a joke. They must be for an older version of the box. Thankfully, I found the updated directions online. Jeez, can't it ever just be easy....... Now I just have to figure out where to install the amp. I already have my 4channel Alpine PDX-F4 in the side panel next to the sub. Edited July 16, 2013 by az_edge
PrinzII
FWIW, try the area where the spare is.

PrinzII
For mine, I plan to remove some of that plastic so I can put the amp and the 360.3 in there.

az_edge
I have completed the install of the stealthbox. I still have to install the JX 500/1D 500W Amp. The install took a while since I took my time and did it to perfection. The install is not too bad, you just need to clear wires so the box can fit correctly. Measureing, cutting, and drilling the Speaker Grill is the hardest part. Here are the pics...... Edited July 19, 2013 by az_edge
wannabang
Did you have to cut out the stock speaker "grille"? Seeing that in there makes me want to build something for my stock location. Let us know how hard it slams!

Seeing that in there makes me want to build something for my stock location. Let us know how hard it slams! I didn't have a speaker grill to begin with, just the storage box. I had to modify the opening after removing the storage box. You can see how I modified the opening in the 5th pic. I used a dremel tool to remove the storage box and to cut the opening to make it larger. I gave it the maximum opening and kept the sub centered with the opening. wannabang
Well, if I were to build myself a box, and put a sub in it, how deep can it be. Or do you wanna measure the stealth box for me?

az_edge
So the amp will not fit perfectly under the rear seat. When I fold down the seat it won't fold completely all the way with the amp under there, bummer. So I was thinking of installing it on the driver sidewall next to the lift gate motor. But, it looks like a real pain to take all that apart to get behind there and I wouldn't mind having access to the amp to make adjustments when needed. Now I'm thinking of setting it in front of the spare tire on top of that that metal brace thing. Maybe I could make a piece of foam to fit over that large metal thing and have the amp cradled on top of the foam. Thoughts?
wannabang
Any chance your amp will fit into a section of the foam that's under the floor? Cut out a littler piece so it's recessed in the foam?
