Sorry, this is pretty lengthy, but here goes…….

Not sure if my issues are coming too late, but the sync in my 2008 Edge LTD seems to have died. The vehicle started out as a lease, which I then decided to purchase. I was never told to log into the syncmyride web site (yes, I know the info was all there but it wasn't explained that there would be updates to the system) and I guess with other distractions in life never really thought too much about it. I do not have the touch screen navigation, just the regular 6 disc/mp3 stereo. I used the bluetooth for my phone for awhile, but my husband said it was hard to hear me so I disconnected it. In the meantime I listened to music on a 1st Gen iPod, and an iPad at one point. I have always been able to charge my phone on the usb, I currently have an HTC but was also able to charge my old iPhone. My daily commute is exactly 2 miles from my home so there was never really a need to use sync on a regular basis. Now, however, my mother has moved 250 miles away and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use it. When I pressed the voice command button, nothing. The AUX now says no AUX and the phone won't charge. I was once randomly able to pair the bluetooth with my HTC, made a call to hubby and it went fine. Then, nothing. On one of the random occasions I was able to get into the media menu, settings, advanced- reset, factory defaults, I did them, it said it was reset….then nothing. After reading all of the posts and now this "new to me" information about the TSB, I do not know what my options are to fix the system. It would also be nice to have the vehicle health report feature. I have pulled the fuse, bought and installed new fuses, disconnected the battery(which I left off for about 30 minutes, but my radio presets were still stored, so that confuses me also.) My extended warranty does not cover sync, but should I have been informed about the TSB? Is that something I will be charged for? When I finally registered on the sync site it said I have a dealer installed update needed, but do I really want to pay for something that may or may not fix my issues. I guess I should consider myself luck after reading about all of the issues the 2011 Edge owners are having. Just curious if anyone has any advice.

Thanks!
