baespey
I noticed in my Edge that when I turn off the car and take the keys out, the cigarette lighter power cables remain active. This was a nice feature at first, but I now have a Bluetooth car kit and it's causing issues. When I turn the car off, my phone is still playing music to the Bluetooth adapter, so I have to remember to pause it every time I get out of the car. Does everyone else's Edge do this as well and can it be turned off? I do like it for the ability to leave my phone in the car and let it charge when I am gone, but it would be nice to turn off if I could. If it can't be turned off, does anyone know of a workaround for Bluetooth car kits?
Ron Landers
My 2007 Edge XLT SEL has 2 cigarette ports, one on the dash and one in the center console. The one on the dash will power off after the ignition switch is turned off and then the drivers door is opened ( or after 5 minutes of the ignition turning off). The on in the center console is always on.
kyle5782
Both my ports stay on all the time. I left an iPhone charger in that lights up when plugged in and in both ports it lights up even overnight into morning. I don't think there's a way to turn this off
