Hd joe
Ordered these with the connectors he sells for $70 shipped. They work great and take 15 minutes to install. Connected to parking lights so they aren't drl, but they light when you unlock the doors and whenever you have the lights on. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2013-Ford-Edge-OEM-front-bumper-lights-turn-signal-/200886590413
fishx65
Pretty cool for those with SE's looking for some lowcost light bars. Have you compared the brightness and color to some stock bars yet?
FordMan1977
Pretty cool for those with SE's looking for some lowcost light bars. Have you compared the brightness and color to some stock bars yet? Just looked at the link and these are oem fomoco lamps, so brightness and color should be same as stock bars. He actually charges $45 for the pair of lamps free shipping, not bad for oems. Electrical connections are not included with that price just the pair of lamps. Hd joe
Yea the lights are $45, the other $25 are for the oem connectors. You just need to extend the wires up to the headlight. I really want the daytime bright lights from this site, but my wife didn't want me spending that much for her edge... So oem it is. We're happy with em
MFdad13
I just saved this to my wishlist on eBay. I may set them up through a relay so they turn on when the ignition is on, DRL!! On a side note, has anyone upgraded the single LED that is in this type of verticle light?
candurin
You had to solder a new star, circuit and upgraded led. Considering the lack of heatsink and the amount of heat generated by an upgraded led (all plastic housing) it would be tough to generate any significant light with the oem light pipe. Just get these and you'll have the best upgrade and brightest light output: http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/Daytime_running_lights.html
MFdad13
So if I don't have DRL now, do I need to source a plug also when buying from DTBL? I read that he suggests you connect the factory plug so that water doesn't find its way inside.
candurin
That was only for his ver.1 lights. His new ones include all plugs required for install. Doesn't matter if you have an SE. Completely plug & play and worry free.

kc300c
Here's a new thread about Edge SE's and the use of my EDGE-2 DRLs http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12945-edge-se-owners-you-can-have-led-daytime-running-lights-on-your-se/?do=findComment&comment=100625

toast1850
Hey Hd joe, I bought the same lights and connectors for my SE. Would I just splice directly into the same cable color for the connectors? Thanks
