Larry
Cellbine, Better hang on to your ride. Never heard of one averaging that much. I have a 13 SEL 3.5 only have 2500 miles on it. Bought it in Feb. this year. Got very poor mileage until warm weather broke. Still nothing to brag about. I played with the trip meters when I first got it. I quit messing with trip 2 at about 900 miles. Since then I have 1600 plus miles at 24.6 average. This is county roads and two lane highways , no more than 50 miles per trip. Plan on taking a road trip this fall ( Oct. ) about 3000 miles, hopefully it will average better. Not too impressed with the mileage. I had a 04 Ford Freestar minivan that averaged 22/23 MPG on a trip. I'm hoping for at least 25 MPG with the Edge. Guess I knew what the MPG was when I bought the Edge 19/27. Can't blame no one but myself. Bought the Edge instead of the Taurus because the Edge sits higher, more like the Van did. I like to be able to see ahead. Cellbine
Cellbine, Better hang on to your ride. Never heard of one averaging that much. Ā Loving my Edge. I have actually gotten my millage over 30mpg twice now. I love the thought of a paid off Edge sitting in the driveway. I have never really thought of selling it. I'm sure it will be in my driveway for a long time. I have never reset Trip 1 over the lifetime of the vehicle and it tells me I have gotten an average of 20.5mpg. That's mostly back city roads and stop and go traffic. I am very happy with that, considering the type of vehicle. Ā Not to shabby 2013 sport Ā Not bad! How fast were you going? shoulinpanther
It was some city driving from 35-45 and 30 on base then highway depending on the spot is 55 and
PrinzII
I just ran to Prescott this past weekend and averaged 21.6 MPG after 284 miles. This includes an altitude change from 1500 ft to nearly 4000 ft above sea level. With two days of reguar travel back and forth to work (and one severe dust storm), I am at 20.9. PrinzII
Cellbine: 75-85 mph. However, you have to consider this was not flat. I was literally climbing a mountain.

Cellbine
Just got back from our trip. There was a mix of Autobahn, city, and driving through small vineyard villages (where we were able to buy wine from that specific region in France). All in all, fairly satisfied with the MPG. Wife and I swapped driving every now and again, so the driving styles differed a little bit. Ā Ā Ā Here are a few shots from our journey. Not the best picks because I left my DSLR at home, had to use my iPod 5g: Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Freshly picked grapes from a French vineyard: Ā Ā

shoulinpanther
1248 miles from my house in NC to my house in TX made in 16 hours of driving with an hour worth of stops for gas and food and restroom breaks so 17 total. Average speed of 78 mph and got roughly 23.2 mpg. It was a smooth trip second leg starting on Wednesday to Las Vegas.
Larry
Went on a road trip from northern In. to Cumberland mountains then Smokey mountains on Gatlinburg Tn. side then across to Cherokee Nc. to Hendersonville Nc. to Opelicka Al. to Pensacola Fl. then back to In. via the scenic route . As you can see in pic mileage was pretty good. 26.3 mpg for 2533.8 miles. I was hoping for better but is close to what it is rated at. Ā From home to Cumberland we drove interstate running 2/3 mph over posted speed with air conditioning on. Got 27.2 until we hit the mountains. The least was 24.2 Ā 2013 Edge SEL Ā Larry Northern,In. PrinzII
I am still averaging 20-21 mpg in city driving around Phoenix. Also, the Edge has 59,000 on the clock.
thirdgenlxi
This is about the best I've gotten..... was on my way home back to NC on a 2,000 mile roadtrip all last week up to Illinois to see my family. The reading here was a little optimistic, when I filled up best I got was 23.66. Cruise control was set at about 70-72 the whole time. It went down a little bit as I got into the mountains in TN and NC.... this was in Indiana = flat, lol Ā Ā Ā Yup.... about how I remember Illinois, lol Ā Ā Luckily I had my co-pilots with me to keep me company along the way. And SiriusXM too.... thank god, lol Ā Ā
