BeDevil79
As mentioned elsewhere I have the 13 SEL app pack, when washing it I've noticed a lot of gravel rash/scratches on the rear leading edge of the plastic rocker panel (Ecoboost shaped section).... Will add pic soon The car is on about 15k Km's, we bought at 12k Km's so the damage was already there I think. Will the front mud guards help stop this and what's the best way to clean it/fix it? I don't want to have to buff all the black plastic each time I wash it like my old Ford Escort!!
Gurufarmer
I put front and rear splash guards on my Edge. I personally think they helped keep dirt and mud off the side. I live on a gravel road and before I had the splash guards when it rained I always got lots of mud on the doors and I don't anymore. I put the Ford splash guards on the front and dropped the guards 3/4 of an inch from the B and J holes.
Jackman5000
Those look good. Where can I find them?
Gurufarmer
The front splash guards are from Ford and are black as I didn't want ford logos on the front flaps. The back ones I got from Runnings which is a local farm store? I like the Ford logo on the back splash guards but sometimes I wish I would have just gone black.
