Boardspinna
Can someone point me to where I change the chrome lip that is below the hood/above the grill to Black? Ive seen it in a few pictures on here and I would really like to do this. I am not sure if the masses are painting this part or are they just replacing it with one that is black. Thanks
RustyEdge
I don't know if they actually make a black one, even the sport comes with a chrome strip. I would plasti-dip it! -Russ
mclellan83
I Was Going To Plasti Dip Mine But The Dealership preferred To Use The Factory Paint Which Looks A Lot Better.
Cellbine
A lot of members here are plasti-dipping or 3M wrapping their grills, to include that chrome strip you're asking about. A bunch of them have also taken their grills to be painted. In searching this topic on the forums I found these threads, take a look: 3M Thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10342-new-grille-solution/?do=findComment&comment=77729 Plasti-dip Thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11010-plasti-dip-my-grille/?do=findComment&comment=83270 3M Removal Thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11656-3m-stickerwrap-removal/?p=88760
Boardspinna
Thanks Everyone! this is what I was looking for. I called a local guy that does vinyl wrapping and he wants to charge me 125 to wrap that small piece.... NO THANKS!
Cellbine
Yeah, that's crazy. Speaking from experience, that small trim is the easiest to wrap. Just buy the wrap and do it yourself. It's an awesome DIY project for any skill level.
Edgieguy
Super simple. I never wrapped anything before and it was a piece of cake.
