cowboyjim
While I don't do any towing with the Edge, I do use the receiver for an electric wheelchair lift / carrier for my wife. With the chair on the carrier, the rear sags enough to lift the HIDs into the eyes or oncoming traffic. Air Lift seemed like a simple solution. Finally got the springs out but also need to remove the bump stops before re-installing the springs with the bags inside. I cannot figure out how the remove the stops. Seems like a long socket would work, but I can't see or feel any bolt up there. Can anyone provide instructions to remove the bump stops so I can get the Edge off the lift and back on the road? Thanks Jim
shoulinpanther
Where did you find air lift/air ride that fit? Just curious. I am not sure about the bump stops I have not been underneath my edge yet.
cowboyjim
Shoulinpanther, I went to the air lift site and put in vehicle information and then went to a local dealer and had them do the same. They then placed the order for a set via a phone conversation with the air lift order desk. the air lift directions are very generic as the kit fits multiple vehicles. My first choice was to install Timbrens (have a set on my cc dually) but they didn't make them for the Edge.

MIKEYMOTO.CA
THE BUMP STOPS WILL UNSCREW ONCE YOU UNBOLT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM AND TAKE OFF THE REAR SPRING. ONCE THAT IS DONE INSERT THE AIRBAG INTO THE SPRING, AND START ASSEMBLING THE REMOVED PARTS. PLUMB THE LINES AND YOU ARE ALL DONE !

maddog0963
Just for information I found this forum trying to add air bags to my 2014 Edge the bump stop is held to the frame by a T47 torx, I had to grind the outside of my 3/8 drive socket down to get it up in there, it does not just turn off.
