Bigmarc if indeed you curbed 2 wheels you might look into getting the wheels repaired. Wifey scraped the pass front wheel a week ago.

I contacted a company that specializes in wheel repair that has mobile service. They took the wheel off my Edge. Repaired the damage and reinstalled in less than 1 hour. Cost was reasonable at $125US. Wheel looks perfect you would never know it was repaired. Hope this helps

So were the repaired wheels chrome plated or alloy? I don't think the chrome plating can be repaired, especially for only $125.00. Just curious if someone was actually able to repair the chrome plated ones.

Curbed 2, huh?

Yes and no, lol,....was in a new housing development,....road unpaved, and when backing up I caught the edge of a sewer cover (raised 6" to 8" from gravel surface). Result= gouged rear passenger wheel somewhat, and front slightly. My heart stopped :(

I'm going to look into this,.....the front one should come out fine,....the rear I think might still show a little,...but it's worth a try !!!

There is a wheel polishing/repair specialist about 10 mins from where I live.

Thanks !

I have aftermarket 22" TSW Snettertons in Hyper Silver on my Edge.. Wife let the curbing at the bank eat some of my rim the other day.. About a 12" gouge, my heart stopped when she called me crying...

I found a machine shop here locally in Orlando Florida, if any other members care! Olympits on Forsyth, just outside of Orlando. They charged 65$, Rim was done in about 2hrs.. The damn thing looked better than the day I took it out of the box to have it installed.. I kid you not. I thought I was about to cough up 400$ for a new rim!

If you like the service you get from a repair/performance shop or parts/service from a vendor, definitely post it on the forum. Very helpful info, a way to build a hall of fame/shame vendors :)

More work for the moderators, but what would be the best way to build such a reference? A thread dedicated to these vendors, similar to the one set up for dealerships? Thank you.

Factory 22in wheels on the Sport are polished aluminum with painted spoke inserts.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I was thinking they were also the chrome clad like the wheels on the Limited. I don't think I've actually seen a Sport model since I purchased my Limited about 10 months ago.
