Armadillo
2011 Edge. I had the local Ford shop change the original cabin air filter at 32500 miles. Yes I know it was over due. Now the fan makes a different noise, kind of a low roar, that varies with fan speed. Air volume is ok. I looked at the filter and it appears to be installed correctly, although it looks rather small. Any idea why the sound would completely change? If the original filter was clogged, I could undrstand the fan sound maybe being louder or softer, but this is a new sound. omar302
Truy looking at the filter with fan on, is it being sucked in? Also remove the filter and make sure nothing fell inside the filter opening.
Idahoser
i'd bet something fell into the fan and is rattling in there.
