New to the forum and new to the Ford Edge. Leased a new 2013 Sport Edge and I gotta say - I love it.

The 3.7 moves it right along. Great styling - the blacked out grille and 22"s really make the truck. Great handling for an SUV. Comfortable seating. Just the right amount of cargo space for me. Absolutely love the huge moon roof!

Dislikes:

The Sony stereo system is mediocre at best - I will be modifying the sub box with MDF to stiffen it up and installing an Alpine MRP-M500 mono amp to drive a JL Audio 8W1v2-4 8" sub. Swapped all 4 door speakers to Polks and saw very little improvement, so I may swap those out with some Alpines or Boston Acoustics

Seat heater controls on the touch screen are annoying, Ford should've used regular switches as I need to take my eyes off the road to turn them on & off using the touch screen.

Gas mileage - 17 mpg on average; though I new this going into it as I have a pretty heavy foot

HID's not available as a factory option for the Sport

Hi, I too leased a Sport AWD about a month ago. Have 900 miles so I can't really comment on gas mileage other than taking it on a 2 hour trip the other day and averaging 20.7 mpg doing approx. 75 mph. Otherwise, I am getting high 15s low 16s in the city.

Surprised to hear you aren't impressed with the sony setup as I find it an absolutely HUGE improvement from my 11 Escape and every other car i've had with a premium sound system.

Don't mind the seat heater controls on the screen (and I've been using them often with this crazy cold weather here lately)

REALLY ticked about the lack of HIDs and I find the headlights to be subpar at best, a huge downgrade from my Escape with fog lights. They legitimately look "yellow" when you are looking at them.

Ordered the white platinum last minute (was going to go Ruby Red) and i'm so glad I did. It looks mean with the contrasting black on the grill, wheels, and the blacked out roof. This is my 5th new car and i've NEVER even remotely close gotten the compliments and reactions from people that I do with this car.

I love it....i'm so happy with it

I have a 2013 Edge SEL and the HIR2 bulbs in the projector head lights on my Edge are GREAT, Consumer report compared the HIDs to the HIR2s and they said the HIR2s where better. Not sure if the sport has the same bulbs as the SEL. My lights have no yellow at all, nice and white and bright.I have trouble seeing at night but with the lights on my Edge I have no trouble at all, I thought the lights on my 2011 Ranger were nice with the fog lights but the lights on my Edge are way better and I put sylvania silverstar ultras in the fog and headlights on my Ranger.
