Dealership & Vendor Experiences Forum Guidelines

Recommended Posts

The goal of this forum is to share different experiences with Ford dealerships and forum vendors whether good or bad. For those experiences that are not so pleasant, we ask for the following:

a: Contact the vendor/dealership and try to work the solution out. If you can't reach a reasonable solution, let it be known here.

b: Try to keep your arguments off the forums. Handle them via Email and/or private message.

c: Try to keep a civil tone. Remember that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar.

The dealer that I have used for the past 20 years and 4 or 5 vehicles is Rudic Jensen Ford, Chrysler, Jeep New Lisbon Wi.

It had been owed by Mark Rudic and he was an excellent owner. He treated customers like they really counted.

About 3 years ago, he retired and sold the business to three employees. Since that time, things have really changed and not for the good.

The final straw. When I bought my current car, 2019 Edge SEL, I was offered one of three extended service contracts. One from Ford, one from Chrysler, and one from Zurick.  The ford contract was for up to 100K miles. The edge had 59K on it when I bought it. And the cost for that was in the $3500.00 range. And with all of these warranties, Diagnostic fees are not included. Rudic charges in the neighborhood of $185/hour for diagnostics.

NOW, with my Edge at 89K miles and the transmission failing, Rudic WILL NOT  honor my Route 66 warranty. I had to go to another dealer, further away, and they (Morries in Tomah Wi) not only honored my warranty but have been extremely helpful. I am scheduled to get the transmission replaced next week. Their diagnostic fees is $155/hr included shop "fees".

The other kicker, I have dealt with the same salesman for all of my purchases. He is very active on Facebook, so I sent him a private message outlining my problem with Rudic. His response...."I'm sorry to hear about all of that Bob". That's it!!

When I spoke to the Route 66 adjuster, I told them that Rudic would NOT honor their warranty. Apparently, Route 66 called Rudic and whatever was said, Rudic then decided to honor their warranty. But for me, to little, to late.

So, I will be buying my next vehicle (if that is to be, as I'm approaching 80 years old!!) from a different dealer. I'm even thinking of switching to a different manufacturer. Over the years I've had most if not all of the American made vehicle types. From Ford, Chevy and Chrysler. Buick, Olds, etc.... I've never owned a foreign vehicle, but that may change.
