aford15
I just purchased a 2011 MKX and the remaining warranty was transferred to me. When I go into the download area for the MLT Sync, it says I'm up to date. However, I went into the system info of the SUV, wrote down all the software and firmware rev. numbers, then I called Sync support. They verified to me that the performance upgrade has not been done, ad that there was no way I could download it to a thumb drive, or have it mailed to me, I have to bring it to the dealership for the upgrade. Does anyone have any information on this other than what they told me?
CARR142
A downloadable update can only update the software in the SYNC module (APIM) itself and can't reprogram the other modules, so the dealer is needed in this case.
omar302
Some 2011 models (maybe some 2012 too?) has early build software that made necessary for them to update (the Performance upgrade "Version 3.0.2") through a Dealer only.
