Diesel350
Well I took it back and got the vibration in the seat fixed. As far as the transmission slip, thy said they did a software update to fix the issue. I have not noticed the issue happening again. New issue came up where I would close the drivers side door but a light indicator appears in the dash saying the door is still open. Guess I'll have to take it back when I get my next oil change. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Probably a faulty door latch mechanism/switch. Should be under warranty. All I can say, you ARE getting them fixed, and I hope your luck holds true No more fixups, darn it

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The oil filter itself is leaking? Wow! Hope it wasn't a Motorcraft? Never had a unit leak on me through many, many OCs.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Probably due to overtightening. Glad it's resolved

sajid.ali
Myself and one of my friend purchased 2013 Edge in sep-2012. Mine is SE (FWD) with 29,000 km on the odo meter and so far I have several issues that made me frustrating. So far below is the list of problems I have / had: 1) @10000km - Steering pump creating noise - dealership took almost week to fix the problem by fixing new pump. 2) @24000km - Driver Door Latch Issue - Even door is closed but it shows that door is open- dealership took 3days to fix the problem by replacing door latch. 3) I hate noises in vehicle - Multiple noises coming from doors, seats & rear hatch - Took two trips to the dealership driver side front door noise exist. 4) @12000km - Front Wind screen cracked automatically while vehicle was parked, cracked appeared on inner side of the screen - replaced under warranty - took 3days by dealership. 5) @28500km - Vibration in the steering wheel and in the front passenger seat when driving over 80 km/h - Dealership want to retain the vehicle for atleast 3-days to digonose and fix the problem. 6) @28000km - Front Shocks issue, right side shock making noise on bumps - Dealership need 1day to digonose the problem and if replacement required another 2-3days will be needed. Either I'm unlucky and the most worst vehicle out of ford factory comes to me but i am sure my next vehicle will not be another Ford. * Same view from my friend also. KonaSport11
I had to give my 2 cents worth on my 2011 Sport. I've had the car 3.5 years now and I do regret spending over $50,000 Cdn on it. A costly mistake I won't be repeating. Sorry Ford, you've had too many chances. I've just had to pay my deductible for the "extended warranty" on that faulty door latch issue mentioned above (2 day fix). Seems lots of people are having this issue, but Ford won't do a Tsb on it. Now I'm experiencing the transmission "clunk" right after taking the car in for an "inspection" and Sync update. I've just read there's a Tsb on that too. Seems too much of a coincidence. Now it will have to go back. Vibrations are also an ongoing issue, along with many Sync problems too numerous to mention. A month ago the brake froze stiff on start up and didn't work for about 10 minutes after turning the car off twice. The dealer did not know what the problem was and it has not happened again. I'm sure the extended warranty will be used for that also in the future.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Checked the battery terminals for tightness/cleanliness? Depending on production date, may be time for a new battery.
nickf1011
Hmmm. Only consistent issues on my 11 Sport are MFT-related, and those I would consider minor at worst. Only things that have truly failed on it were the paint on the driver's door handle flaking off and a leaking PTU seal, both fixed under warranty. At 78,000 miles now with no other issues. Suppose I've been lucky.

akirby
How can that possibly not be covered under the B2B warranty? It's not a wear item. And how could the steering column bolt cause the fluid to leak out? That doesn't make sense.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Maybe he meant a bolt in the steering rack?
