thecolliers
We're having an odd problem with the audio system in our 2012 Edge. I primarily drive this car and always have the audio system on; usually when I start the car up after stopping, it will remember what I was listening to (Sirius, USB, etc) and return there. But often when my husband starts the car, the audio system won't come on -- it displays an Audio Off message after the car goes through its startup sequence. What's worse is that the buttons to turn on the audio system are disabled. The only way to get it to turn on is to use voice commands. This problem doesn't occur when I drive the car, only when my husband does, and it doesn't happen all the time for him, only sometimes. Also, every so often the audio system will start up in A/V mode - which we never use. This also only happens when hubby drives the car. We thought perhaps the car's startup sequence is affected by his pushing the seat settings button, but he has tried delaying pushing this button until after audio comes on and it doesn't appear to make a difference. Could there be something in his key causing this? Could it be his greater weight on the seat? Why does the Edge react differently when he drives? cv27
Is the Edge synching different phones when you or your husband start it up?
mv-clear
perhaps you have programmed the mykey thing which allows different settings for different drivers? both my keys are admin, just a thought..
