mclellan83
Can't get it to a setting to get it to last even half the movie without it going into safety mode so the battery doesn't die let alone the blinding white on the speedo side screens

TheWizard
Can't you leave the ignition in the Accessory position to prevent it shutting off?
mclellan83
That's WHAt I Had It On, But Since It RUns All ThRee Screens It Kills The Battery Very Quickly
wannabang
We still have one. $7 for 2 movies through the summer. I'd open up the back and sit with a pillow chair, not look through the windshield. Why would you want lights on during the movie, though? mclellan83
I Don't That's The Point, I Just WaNt The Radio On. But It Makes Me Have All The Screens On Which Kills The BAttery.

xK317Hx
You can turn the dash lights down and turn the touch screen off, but it still plays the radio
mclellan83
I Turned The Dash Lights Down As Much As I Could, How Do You Turn The Screen Off?
xK317Hx
Settings/ Display/ there is a section that says Day Night Auto then Off. Select off and it goes black. This is with the key on but the car not started. Should help to not drain the battery too much. If your dash lights don't go down enough for you take a black t-shirt and shove it in the gauge cluster. flyinlow007
For drive in's we just take a portable radio with. Much easier to deal with than the car turning off all the time.
ls973800
I realize the original question was posted almost 7 months ago, but I just recently learned something which may help in the future. My 2013 Limited allows me to just touch the radio power button when the car is shut off, and the radio will play. No need to put the switch (actually the button since I have the push button start) into the ACC mode. I believe the radio will stay on about 15 minutes or until a door is opened. I read this on an F150 forum and tried it on my Edge. It works great, nothing else turns on other than the radio. I don't know when this feature was incorporated or if it is model and option specific. All I can suggest is try it in your Edge by just pushing the radio power button.
