We ordered our Edge on March 5th and it was built March 18th. It was delivered to our dealer that is only 30 miles from the Ford Oakville plant last night. We took a drive up to get a peek at it. We are very happy with our choices. My son (and I) wanted the blue exterior, I picked the light stone interior without seeing one in person so we were not sure how it would look. After seeing it today we love the lighter interior, and after looking at an Edge next to ours in the lot with the popular black interior we think we made the right choice. We take delivery on Wednesday, I will post some pics of her all cleaned up after we pick it up. Limited59 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Two weeks is crazy though. I've never heard of one coming that quickly. Are you sure you didn't mean ordered February 5? Well I told them I don't really want to take delivery until mid-May after they quoted 10 to 12. I was thinking within 8 would be realistic. I live in a new subdivision and the contractors turn our streets into muddy trails so I would prefer to let things dry up a bit. Last time I ordered from the factory (Ingersoll that time) they told me no longer than 6 weeks and it turned out to be 12. Oh well, I will take it whenever it comes in. Did they follow up with you throu the process? I.e. let you know when it was accepted for production, projected week of assembly, etc? I know GM can track that way.
