ravishingrocket
I recently ordered an 2013 Edge SEL. I don't have the car yet as the dealer said it would come in mid April. I know this subject has been discussed a few times, but I haven't seen any real definate answers or one exactly pertaining to a 2013. Does the SEL already have the wiring for a sub to be installed in the factory location or was the wiring only availble in the upgraded Sony system? If no wiring pre-exsist, what all would I need to install a subwoofer and an amp to the factory stereo? I have seen the JL stealthbox for the Edge and think I will go with that

Eatinitup
If the wiring isn't present.. YOU will need a Sub box, a Sub, an amp, wiring... And probably some other hook ups that a professional installer can sell you and install for you!
James Leo Tucker
I'm going through the same thing with a 2012 Edge SEL. There is only speaker wire (High level output) from the back of the head unit. That will need to go to the amp and then to the speakers. Have you ha any luck yet? I'm starting this mission this week. I just got my car yesterday. Finally! Only took 10 weeks... I haven't had any time to look things over, but I might get the Metra kit when it comes out so I can install an aftermarket stereo with outputs for an amp Edited May 12, 2013 by ravishingrocket
Mags
I put in 2 jbl subs 12 inch. Makes the base in stock speaker sound like a bitch. My suggestion put in a sub. Worth it

Worth it Did you install a sub or just spliced into the speaker wire?
wannabang
My friend attempted to do the splice thing with his stock sub in his civic, and we found out that there were volume limits in the factory radio, so his subs didn't get too loud... Not sure about the edge. It's definitely the cheaper way, and probably easier with the new generation.
