2Close2TheEdge
I drive 1200Km over the Rocky Mountains every month. I prefer to drive all night and deal with professional truck drivers with deadlines to keep and not during the day when all the looky loos are out enjoying the views instead of whats ahead of them on the road. iI find the projection headlightpattern to be inadequate at best. I too have tried to find an aftermarket light that would not take away from the stock look of the sport. fishx65
Expensive but very very cool. Decent amount of light on the road?
2Close2TheEdge
It throws a ridiculous amount of bright white light. With it on you can't tell if the HID headlights are on bright or off. How does the placement of the led bar look?
Dingo
I would've put it at the top of the lower air dam opening.
RustyEdge
I have to agree with Dingo that it would look better at the top of the lower air dam opening. I also don't know if it the single light that's throwing me off, maybe the asymmetrical look just doesn't do it for me. Maybe two 10 inch lights at the top of the lower air dam almost like fog lights would be better than one single unit. Either way, whatever gives you the light output you need!! -Russ
Dingo
For that money, I would've gone with hella micro de hid driving lights.
2Close2TheEdge
I wanted the 30" in the same spot but it was going to be too long for the order to come in. I did think of putting in the 20" dbbl row type in the lower dam but I was concerned about air flow to the rad as we can get +40 and add the long mountain grades. Thanks for the input it is something to think about for the wife's edge.
Edgieguy
I have one of them on my Polaris rzr and and it lights up the dark trails like crazy! Good job.
PrinzII
I am looking at this for mine. Planning to investigate shortly.... I want to hang mine under the front license plate bracket. Edited July 19, 2013 by PrinzII
redrock
I would be interested in knowing how you wired up the light.
PrinzII
For that money, I would've gone with hella micro de hid driving lights. Those just got dropped to #2 on my list. The LED bar has taken the top spot.
PrinzII
I stopped at the shop yesterday to look at the license plate mount and an LED bar. Long story short, this is NOT a cheap proposition. My cost is $925 for everything installed and 4 hrs of my time. However, the light output of the bar I chose makes this all worth the cost. PrinzII
On a humorous note, after a drive to Buckeye, AZ Saturday night, my wife told me that she would NEVER argue with me on the subject of lighting again. She quickly understood why I installed HIDs and want this bar. That area was so dark it reminded me of parts of MS that were pitch black. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Maybe it would be easier to get the Riddick modification done? No need then for all these lighting upgrades ... :tease: :hyper:
PrinzII
Of, if you have the crossbars for the roof rack, mount a low profile LED light bar there.
