SiriusXM Trials/Promos on Used Edges in Canada

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 2013 Edge from a Chrysler dealership, and the six-month trial expired a couple of weeks into my ownership.

I had a chance to fiddle around with SiriusXM while on the 12-hour drive home from the dealer, but because I went on vacation right after buying the Edge I didn't really get a chance to see if I actually wanted to become a long-term subscriber.

Does anyone know if there are any promos where a used car buyer can get a Sirius and/or XM trial for a month or two? Or failing that, at least a discounted introductory price? I saw the free six months for used car buyers in another thread, but that seemed to be just for buyers in the USA. Do any Canadian buyers have experience with this?

I suppose I could just pony up for the regular monthly fee, but with all the promos and offers floating around out there I thought I'd at least ask to see if anyone knows of one that might be relevant to my situation.

Give Sirius a call and talk to their customer service representative. Have your radio ID number available. You can find that either in the paperwork from the car or usually by tuning to channel 0 or 1. Here is a link on how to find it.

I have three separate accounts right now on three separate vehicles. Each was offered for 6 months at $25.00! I got that price by calling and talking to them as each car subscription was ready to, or had, expired. I paid no reactivation fee on those which had expired.

Try one of these numbers to talk to a rep. 1-866-635-2349 or 1-866-610-6195

You can go on their website too and they have a section on there just for Sirius equipped used cars for a 2 month trial. I'm using it on my '07 right now. You just have to put either your VIN or the ESN from your radio and then activate it and it works like a champ. I like mine, think I'm gonna keep it going once the trial runs out (we don't have any good radio stations here in the mountains, and when you do find one it turns to static 5 mins later)
