Guindalf
I bought my '11 Limited (w/Nav) less than two months ago and the SiriusXM radio has been active since I got it. There is a special through 2/12 where all radios are active. However, since Saturday, I've been seeing the "You're not subscribed" message, although when dismissed, it is still working. It does appear that I'm only getting the free channels though. Will I get the service back after Feb 12th or will I have to call and subscribe? It's nice to have, but it's certainly not worth the amount they're asking for it! I had XM before and was able to keep renewing for around $25 for 5/6 months. Can anyone confirm what deals there are available now? Thanks
RJG
Sirius is just a little more than XM. I just redid a Honda with XM for about $25 plus all the taxes for 5 months. Sirius is a tad more. But same idea. Sirius offers a little more info, at least on the big screen Edge, VS the XM in my 2012 Honda CRV with NAV. I like the streaming stock and market quotes from CNBC on the Sirius, don't get that on the CRV with XM. Also....get NASCAR on Sirius....shows the top 5 leaders, it's optional on XM but on my Honda wouldn't have streaming info. So for me, and what I listen to, and with the equipment I'm listening with, Sirius is worth more to me. XM may offer same stuff as Sirius if my Honda had same level of receiving equipment.....I don't know. Just know I way prefer the Sirius in our Edge VS the XM in my Honda. I may not continue with the XM in my Honda, especially since travel and weather come from the free FM, so don't need XM with NAV. On Edge, need the Sirius subscription for that. I'm beginning to think that in order to fully enjoy one of these Ford products with NAV and MFT, you might as well pony up for all the subscriptions, Sirius with travel and weather, Sync after 3 years, and NAV if updating ever costs. Save on something else. These electronics are a big part of what the cars are about. Edited February 4, 2013 by RJG
candurin
I just called a few weeks ago. Was offered $77 for 1 year or $25 for 6 months. Took the 6 months and figured I'll call back again in July and play the game.
Guindalf
Well, the bad news is that my SiriusXM stopped working overnight (worked on the way home, was gone driving in this morning). I'm due to head down to Florida tomorrow, so this was bad timing! The good news is, I went to the website and went here, entered my radio details and it told me I was eligible. All I had to do then was create an account and there it was, 60 days of SiriusXM Select for free! I've marked my calendar to call when it expires to cancel and I'll see what offers I get at that time. I know for sure that I won't be paying $15 a month - it's just not worth it!
