wannabang
I park beneath trees at work and I noticed the other day that I have sap on my windshield and right in front of the moonroof. Adv. Auto Parts's guy told me to use a razor blade on the windshield with some warm water. It seemed to work when he tried it. Any suggestions for the paint? Goo gone? Mark94
My recommendation: Windshield - goo gone and a razor blade Paint - goo gone and a microfiber towel. I've used goo gone on paint to remove sticker residue and sap in the past with no problems on paint. Just dab some on the sap and let it soak in before rubbing. Once it has soaked in, give a slight rub. If it's glopped on, just repeat the process being sure it soaks in as best as possible prior to rubbing. It may take some time and various repetitions but it will eventually come off. Once complete, give the paint area a good wipe with soapy water and rinse with fresh water. Polish then wax the area since the goo gone may remove any protection that is currently sealing your paint. Mark
