the64game
Ordered the vinyl on eBay and took about 1 hour with tracing out the headlight chrome strip and using the blowdryer to smooth out the edges. Not bad for 16.00 and some time... Let me know what you think...

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Nicely done. Did the vinyl come as a kit specific to the Edge, or did you take a roll and custom cut all the pieces?
the64game
No it was a roll 12"x60" I order the metalic black so that the tuxedo black would match... I cut it in half and then did the middle first and cut out a templet and traced it on the vinyl and cut it out... And did it dry with a hair dryer... WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Yup, I remember going through that thread a while ago. Was just wondering if people were now selling peel & stick custom kits

Cellbine
Your install looks really clean. Much cleaner than when I did mine, but I didn't know about the hair dryer technique. I recently took my wrap off and plasti-dipped everything. When I removed my wrap it left a sticky film all over the grill that was a pain to get off. Lots of scrubbing. It's amazing how a little chrome strip turned black can change the entire appearance of the vehicle.

Nick Halstead
did you remove the pieces to do this ?!? you see the date on these posts? No you don't have to remove the pieces, I wrapped my friends sport in about 45 mins though just the top piece and emblem. Wetdream
If anyone is still following this post, I have a 2011 AWD Ford Edge Limited and been wanting to strip all the chrome... How were those little long decorative dimples to apply the vinyl to? Did the heat just allow it to be applied ok? How long did it last? Any issues with road rocks being kicked up? My Wife is very artsy craftsy and offered to help cuz I just dont have the patience lol... Thanks!
