shantz
Is yours hard plastic? On my 3.5L the engine cover is a foam type rubber (i assume to help with noise and dampening?)

KingMike
Wow, would have never thought of that. Great job! Looks awesome. I like that you didn't go crazy with it, very subtle additions but a huge difference. Very nice! Edited May 1, 2013 by KingMike
wannabang
That looks fantastic! I have the same battery, but my wires don't match up to the terminals too well. How you get yours to look so perfect?! My bat is rotated 180 compared to yours and it seems that neither cable is able to sit entirely flat. No worries, though, they're very secure. Joshua Sharp
ok so i am going to turn this into a full list of mods thread that i have done to my edge and still working on ... i have alot of pictures to add and i need to get back into this forum instead of being a troll. First off thanks for the kind words and compliments to wanabang the positive terminal worked out great but the ground one was a booger to get tight. Joshua Sharp
just a little background of me ... i am into car audio mainly the sound quality aspect and i compete in sound quality. So the main bulk of what i have done to the edge is for sound system. I started off a while back putting sound deadener throughout the whole car 160 square feet to be exact of Second skin audio damplifier pro. I dont have many photos of the finished product but every part of the car is covered and the doors have 2 layers
Joshua Sharp
ill leave the chit chat out and just post all the pics i have :-) wrapped the battery to help keep engine heat off it added some lighted door sills and changed color to blue to match the blue puddle lamps more deadener on the door itself old vs new of the front door speakers how i mounted the door speakers Here are the Amps that are going to be going into the car ... Two Linear Power 2150s and One Linear Power 2250 Where am i going to put these beautiful amps you ask? Well here is part of the car you will recognize
Joshua Sharp
the seats ! test fit FINISHED and mounted !!! Once the trim panels are added there will be a second pattern that will place over them so that when the seats are folded down no carge space is lost you can still put large cargo over the amps if needed. Running the Power and Ground for the amps is next.

Joshua Sharp
running the audio wire from the radio to to processor running the speaker wire to the door speakers ran the wire for the amps and all done the seats will still function and lastly from what i have so far are the tweeters placed upon the dash i will post some more pictures if i come across some that i missed ... Details of the system the speakers are Blues Car Audio 6.5" active components set Blues Car Audio is owned by Linear Power The 6.5" door speakers are on a Linear Power 2150, The Tweeters are on a Linear Power 2150 and the two subs will be on the Linear Power 2250. Joshua Sharp
i know this is in the power train section ... if possible could a mod move this to the appropriate location
Joshua Sharp
To tune the processor you have to hook the processor up to the computer to use the software so this is a video of how i modded the car to accept the computer. i was supprised to see that in that component ford actually used good audio grade caps in the circuitry. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
A lot of hard work What are your plans for the subwoofer(s)? Why mount the tweeters on the dash vs the pillar? And how hard was it to strip the seat down to the frame?
Joshua Sharp
alot easier to mount the tweeters on the dash because its alot easier to aim them at the driver and you are able to mount the tweeters deeper on the dash for better stage depth. The seats were actuall quite easy to strip and put back together ... all clips and zippers
