Slick56
The passenger side seat belt is catching and then tightening. Very annoying. Is there anything that can be done? Is this the way it should work? Thanks
Mark94
Do you park the truck on an incline/decline? If it is, that could be the reason why it is catching as the mechanism inside is not balanced and free. Seat belt mechanisms are designed to recognize the slightest jolt or imbalance so if the car is hit or in an accident, that imbalance is what triggers the belts to tighten keeping you and your passengers safe. I had to remove the rear seat belt mechanisms to install a coilover system on one of my former cars and it was such a pain getting the mechanism to be perfectly balanced and free so I could reinstall the mechanism and belts. If that is not your issue there has to be an issue with the internal mechanism where it may be hung up on something causing it to catch periodically. Slick56
Is it repairable or replacable? Still under warranty.
Tacyon
My drivers side belt does this (on right hand turns mostly) and ratchets me down into the seat. I have to exhale and scrunch down to get it to release. If someone discovers a "blue pill" fix, I to would be interested.
