xK317Hx
2011 Edge, SEL with MFT..... Button on screen lights up but no heat in the passenger seat. Drivers side works great. Took it to the dealer, they quoted 865.00 to replace the upper back pad and seat cushion. I asked for the part numbers that needed to be replaced, tech gave me the numbers, ordered and replaced the pads....still no heat in the passenger side. Any thoughts? Did they even check the fuse?? I would but damn I can't find any info on which fuse it is or where it is. I've always worked on my cars everything from custom stereos the full blown motor swaps. These "high tech" features are stumping me. Mostly cause I don't feel like buying a full shop manual.....but I may have to. Oh and I found a great factory parts place in FL. Great discounts and fast shipping. When looking for seat parts I did see a seat heater module??? But it didn't specify right or left, and I don't even think I could locate it. Any help would be great.

xK317Hx
Nope, even has certified preowned warranty. Service guy said he keyed in the part numbers and they come up not covered.
Mark94
That doesn't make any sense unless you are over 36,000 miles already. Should still have the bumper to bumper warranty if under 36k and everything should still be covered no matter if this is an electrical or parts issue. Only thing that wouldn't be covered are wear and tear items which I don't think this falls under. I would go back to the dealer or call Ford Customer Service. I had to have a part repaired/replaced on my F150 which was under a Ford extended warranty. The service writer (who usually are on a sales commision basis) said the part was not covered. I called the Ford warranty department who said it was covered, even if it was a wear and tear item. I ended up getting the repair/replacement covered. As for the service manual being too expensive, I would think buying some parts which weren't needed or weren't correct parts was many more times the cost of a service manual. The service manual will save you money in the long (or short run in this case).
