Jackman5000
Hello people. I am new to the edge forum. Thanks for advise. I just purchased a 2012 white edge limited with 22000 miles. We love it so far but I would like to replace the sub with something a little more high end. I am aware of the jl stealth box but was wondering about simply replacing the 8 and keeping the current box. (I want it to look completely stock) Any advise? Thx Jack
29eddy
If you replace your rear subwoofer, I'm looking for the OEM enclosure for the stock 8" sub to purchase, just let me know. Eddie

Jackman5000
Ok dingo. That would be ok with me. I don't know a lot about Boston but I know they are quality. Now for the dumb questions. I'm assuming I will need to replace the factory amp as well? Which did you use? I want to change as little as possible (ie use same wiring from factory amp---bad idea?) Does that sub "slide right in" or were mods needed? I love the idea of just buying a quality amp and 8" sub and switching those components out quickly. Am I off on that thinking? Sorry for my rambling questions. Thx Jack
Jackman5000
Ah. I see that the speaker you recommended is made specifically for smaller enclosures. Sound pretty good?
Dingo
You have to modify the box, and an amp, and add a line out converter with bass dropout compensation.
