I've also been contemplating getting the window deflectors, but I still have a question for those that have installed them.

Did you notice an increase in wind noise at highway speeds?

I take a lot of road trips with my Edge, and really appreciate the interior quietness at the higher speeds....makes the music sound better!

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Vent shades from Ford.....peel the paint off the door if you should choose to remove them, or they "fall" off.....since the parts manager is a good friend of mine, I could get them for $60.00USD.....shows how much of a mark-up there is.....

:shades: The Lund/AVS Ventvisors are in channel so they will not mar the paint or fall off. :hyper:

So I went to this site and check out these shades.. I don't know what the in-channel means, vs. the other type. And I read where you can use 3M tape on some. Oh well, so while I'm their I check out the bug deflector's. I sent a letter asking for a picture of one in Chrome and on a White MKX, this is what I got back. As you'll notice it says Stampede, I wanted to see the Chrome one.

My Impressions, YUK! The MKX has a chrome band that runs along the front lip of that hood. I've already inquired about a clear 3M film protector that would cover the lower 1/3 of the hood. For my personal tastes, I don't think I'll be adding either the window channels or bug deflector.

:shades: I don't care for the bug deflector, But the Ventvisors are great as they allow you to crack the windows in hot weather and also keep the rain from coming in. The in- channel type actually fit in the channel they do not stick on the outside of the window frame. I have not noticed any additional wind noise at highway speeds since installing them on my Edge. Anyway that said it all boils down to personal preferences as to adding or not. :happy feet:
