tatefab
My wife has had problems with the edge heisitating then banging into reverse. And in 5th gear or so sounds like transmission riping out of it with load bang . But keeps on going . Also sometimes when you are driving and stop . Then take off again it's like its stuck betwween neutrel and 1st 3 to 5000 rpm at 5 mph . These started around 30,000 miles and now has 130,000 .Dealership say they cant get it to do it so there is no problem. Out of last 3 months they have had it a total of 4 weeks or so. They said they've had ford engineers involved. Cleared the computer reprogramed stock settings. They will have aweek and then give it back and it will act up on wife within days. Then we take or have it towed back to blundership . They had some bad numbers on some sensors on a driving test . So they replaced tubine sensor and a speed sensor. They said it was fixed two days later it done it to my wife again. Took it back they couldn't get to do it. So they put some kind of flight recorder onit . Told us if it does it again push button an it will record problem. Well shortly after it done it again and again to my wife. The slow take off of 5mph and 4000 rpm. then couple days later I was driving around 45 to 50 up hill . When it sounded like the transmission or something exploded under me . I pulled over and it seemed fine so I pressed the button to record . Took off and it done it again at 45mph. So we took it back . They said nothing was recorded . All checked fine . They had talked to enginers again . And now told me I needed new transmission it was going out. I asked how long I got . They said 1 week to 1 year . Don't know. The thing shifts good they told me no metal in trans fluid .
