Clear coat

I noticed right by my roof rack I am missing clear coat. Any one have a good idea on how to fix this?

not sure what I'm looking at here? do you mean the black plastic? if that's the case it doesn't have a clear coat and shouldn't. looks like someone wiped some kind of armor-all on it or something

I think he means the splotchy area on the paint. If that is the clearcoat peeling then the only way to fix it is to sand it back to good paint and respray it.

doesn't look splotchy, looks like a reflection of clouds.

 

edit: nevermind, you have to look really really close, yeah only thing you can do is have that area sanded and resprayed with clear.

Talked to the body shop that repaired my focus after being rear ended. $460. Most of that is labor. However to repaint the entire car is $4-6k. So I have till summer to fix it. That's pretty much what the guy said. The winter won't hurt it to bad.
