TWO phones...ONE problem.

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, I bought a 2013 Edge Limited for my wife. It has sync and touch, but not nav. I had no problem using, "Services" turn by turn navigation and such using her phone. But, my phone while linked can't use the services function. When I attempt to, it makes the call to services and then gives me the first time user sthick. It does this every time. I have both phones registered on the sync my ride site, but thus far, only hers seems to work completely. As an aside, I can make calls using my phone and the blue tooth provided by the edge.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but was hoping someone could help.

It should be said that my primary ride is a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 premium with sync, nav, brembos,...Loving my Fords

It may be a silly question, but are you sure you can have both phones linked on the SYNC account in order to use the free 20 per year directions? I think only one phone can be the primary phone on the SYNC site, allowing for that phone only to be the one that receives the free services. If you try to add a phone on the SYNC site other than the one listed, it will say that any other phone on the account will be removed. That does not prevent the phone from pairing in the car to make or receive calls, just prevents it from being the one on the SYNC account for services.
