Phillmatchett
We re looking at purchasing a new Ford Edge Sport and curious about the rubbers on it. They are called Pirelli scorpion zero I guess. Done a little bit of reading online about them, just wondering what the members of this forum think of them?! We live in Northern Canada so we have harsh winters. Wondering how they ll hold up in the winter?! thanks
EdgeRacer
My experience with Perelli car tires is that they r a firmer tire but still good. I prefer a softer tire but thats me.
bimmer848
the tires are exactly why i didnt get the sport. they will be horrible in winter. anything below 35 degrees(F) and they are basically hockey pucks. add precip and its ice skating time. having the awd will help , but wont help stop it. you most def will want to put winters on. JOEHIO
Have the Pirelli's on my MKX, and really cannot comment on traction in snow, as last winter, here in New Jersey, we only had 1 storm, and that was right before halloween. Why not check with one of your local tire stores?, they might give some good advice.

Edgieguy
I had my Sport since Nov 2010 and the anytime Ive driven in the snow it was a non issue. I love these tires, I think they're sticky enough in the rain, in the heat, and in the snow. A lot of people don't like these Pirelli tires, nut I have no problem with them. When it's time to change them, I'll be hard pressed to try another brand even though I like to try new products.
