edgefan10
Hey guys, For the past few years I have been looking every few months for aftermarket headlamp for my 09 edge I was really happy to finally find that some are being made. I picked up the set of them on ebay a few weeks ago for $239 US here are a few pictures of them installed. I am using HID bulbs and ballast despite the sticker on the headlights that said not to. I just wanted to share my pictures.
EdgeRacer
Looks good with your truck. Whats up with the LEDs where the fog lights go? looks kind cool.
wannabang
Can you provide the name of the seller or a link to eBay Page? Those look beautiful, although, I would be using my HIDs, as well. Is there a separate high beam location, or would I be needing to replace the HIDs I have? edgefan10
Hey thanks for the comments. @EdgeRacer I do a lot of highway driving an as a result the front of my vehicle started to look pretty bad about 2 winters after I bought it new.. sand from the winter rocks on the highway etc. My fog lights were halogen H11 that really looked yellow when I turned them on so I never used them. I priced out the replacements factory fog lights and it was over $120 for the set and I didn't really like them so I ordered the black covers that come on a lower model for $15 each at my local dealer. I ended up ordering those LED bars on ebay for about $20 thought it looked ok, was cheap to do. @wannabang there are no longer separate high low beams which is nice no need to get separate ballasts and lights to convert the high beams to HID instead there is a wire that connects to the existing connection to the high beam bulb and moves a metal flap inside the headlight turning them into high beams basically like they have done it on the new edge with projectors. @cmillz1331 super easy to remove, open the hood remove 4 plastic screws (Pop the centre out or you will brake them) then undo the 6 screws (3 on each side) bolted into the plastic in each of the front wheel wells (This is what connects the plastic in both front wheel wells to the front bumper) at this point I lay a blanket on the floor in front of the bumper so when I lay it down it doesn't get scratched then undo the two metal bolts that are right by the hood latch above the radiator then lift the bumper off. Wiring was easy everything plugged into existing plugs except for the halo and LED, I just connected them to the low beam light wire clips are supplied with the headlight so they would be my daytime runnings lights. In Canada we DRL laws so my edge from factory puts 7V to my headlights during daylight every time I put my car in drive so this was always a problem for me. 7volts is not enough to fire up the ballasts so for about a year I was manually turning on my headlights on evert time I drove pain in the ass. Now with the LED's in the deadlight the 7 volts turns them on no problem and then when it gets dark my car puts 12 volts to the low beams causing the ballasts to turn so at night both are on and I can finally leave the headlights on automatic all the time. That is the link dotcomracing on ebay, they come in black i found a pic of them in black on a white edge, I decided to go silver.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Anyone know if the projectors work equally well with halogens & HIDs? I have heard that they are usually designed differently due to the differences in lighting technology.
wannabang
I have 5k HIDs. Think the LEDs will match?
Matt Mosakowski
I have 8000k HID with LED switch back turn signals and I can only tell the difference up close.
