Twister
Does anyone know if there's a way route the engine block heater cord, so that the hood need not be opened to connect? Currently it's clipped to the top of the rad and hangs down behind the radiator fan.

Currently it's clipped to the top of the rad and hangs down behind the radiator fan. I located the cable around the side of the rad and located the plug between the gaps of the chrome grill (just out of sight) but easy to plug in without lifting the hood. Alternatively, take a look at what is available in Europe http://www.defa.com/en/fp/main/ Ok, voltage is different but connector will still work. I made up a short extension cord and did the same thing as yourself.
