c_bova
my capacitor should be here friday or saturday, so I'll post how it works out.
Dingo
Wow. Y'all aren't patient at all. You need a bigger cap than that, and put it between the factory trigger wire and the harness, not between the harness and ballasts.

Dingo
Here's the one I made.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Looks heavy duty, Dingo. How did you settle on the specs, and where did you source it from? I found 1 listing on EBay, and another brand (NTE) on Amazon & Radioshack with the exact specs.
Dingo
I tried some of the craptastic ones that are sold specifically for HIDs (i.e. eBay), and they weren't big enough. I had a couple of that one laying around from an old project, and it worked perfectly.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Cool! Thanks. Usually I see that capacitor sizing in audiophile quality (mobile) audio equipment. Panasonic/Jensen/etc.
c_bova
is that 25v 1000uf?
Dingo
25v,10000uf. The sizing is up to you. That's just what I used.
c_bova
Ok so mine came today and since I have a wire harness from the battery I put it between the trigger wire from head light and the harness. I figured this would be what I need to help it fire up. Only thing I noticed is before install both lights went off together. After install the driver light goes off like a half second after the other, not that that is a big deal. So I've only used 1 of the 2 capacitor wires this way. Hopefully it works, and if it does maybe ill sell the other to someone.
c_bova
well it seems the capacitor didn't do jack for me, if anything it made it take more on/offs with the lights for the one to come on. Guess the only solution is to send it back to get replaced.
