cmillz1331
Anyone know of somewhere to get this protector from somewhere other than Ford? They want like $50 and I definitely think it is not worth that much.....thanks!
Platinum White
IF you do a search you may find that a SCION XB or some thing like that, rear protector will protect better than the Ford one, over the lip. This is an old issue that was answered years ago. I got a perfect fit from Street Side Auto.
sleepy23
Cmillz Did you ever find anything or test the scion recommendation?
cmillz1331
Cmillz Did you ever find anything or test the scion recommendation? Nope. Scion bumper cover looked weird on the edge...I kinda gave up for right now
candurin
I don't mind the scion guard. It actually looks like it belongs there. Maybe it looks better on tuxedo/black Edges?
sleepy23
Ended up getting good price for an edge protector, so we shall see. Candurin, did you custom fit the homelink or just buy a visor with homelink in it?

Tacyon
I have one of the Scion bumper guards installed on my Edge and there two things that the rest of the type "A" personalities out there will want to know about. 1) the leading edge of the guard is not the same radius as the bumper/body of the edge. Its shallower. Which is good because you can always trim off .. you can't easily trim on. I removed about 8-10mm a the center of the guard in a smooth arc terminating at about the 3rd or 4th ridge in the guard. This was almost perfect. (yea, that bugs me. but as I get older, I learn to deal with the little things better) 2) what others have mentioned was the the trailing edge that wraps down over the edge of the bumper providing good protection also does not match perfectly. The Edge as a small, short 45` bevel from the top flat surface to the vertical back surface. The guard is a tight radius 90` so there is a small triangle area that is an open void. Platinum White
I put the SCION bumper guard on my 2009 Edge a couple years ago. It is doing a good job of faithfully protecting the painted surfaces over which it resides and I think that it looks GOOD.

I'm slowing leaning towards getting it for my
