Oregons Edge
Well we have had our Edge for about 4 weeks now. We got the SEL, BMAR, Carbon/black and had an alarm system and bug guard put on it a week later. We have taken it over the coastal mountain range from Portland to the coast twice now. I have to say I love the ride, hanlding and preformance of the Edge. We had no problems climbing over those mountains with Hp to spare. I had a heck of a time convincing my wife we needed the navigation system. Basically it was toy for me to play with while I was a passenger. But this thing has saved us both alot of heartaches and arguements just in the few weeks we have owned the vehicle. Its especially convenient when you have no idea where a place is and your in heavy trafcic. We won't be without one again. I sure wish I could get the british speaking voice on the US measurement system. Its was pretty sexy sounding, haha. There is just a couple of things I would like to see them change. First off is that chrome band around the dashboard center console. When the sunlight is just right it about blinds you. The only other things I have a problem with is the tailgate handles. My wive says she doesn't seem to have a problem with it but I have a heck of a time reaching into those inset handles and closing the door avoiding a head banger. I do wish they would have made the passenger doors open up a little wider. Most people won't notice it but we are moving and just a little wider opening would be great to fit the larger door opening. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Love the fact that we can use regular fuel now instead of the premium we used in the Turbo Cruiser. Bigger tank on the Edge and about the same to fill her up. The room inside, especially passeneger area, seem huge and roomy. Had a freind thats 6'2" in the back and he couldn't believe the leg room he had in it and adjustable A/C vents. One things thats kind of a pain sometimes is all the questions from other people. Seems like when your in a hurry there is someone standing by the Edge wanting to ask a million questions. It was really great at first knowing you bought a vehicle so headturning. But its getting a little rediculous lately. Infact my wife went out to the vehicle from the grocery store the 3rd day we owned it and seem a couple looking at it. As she got closer she seen the lady reach for the door handle and try to open it. Within really thinking, she hit the lock button to sound the alarm. Then asked the lady what she thought she was doing. The ladt said they were really interested in the vehicle and she wanted to see how the door handle felt. Said the handles on their car now were so tight her rings scratched the paint really bad around the handle. I told my wive she was lucky it wasn't a couple of car theif and they didn;t take her keys or hurt her. She said their would have to have been alot more then them there to take her Edge from her, haha....did I say she loves it.
berryEDGEie
No wonder you added an alarm system! I would say it is a good thing that ladies ring didn't scratch YOUR Edge! Wouldn't you think someone would have more courtesy than to try that out on YOUR new car if that was really the case.........they probably wanted to look inside! GO to a DEALER! LOL.........that is what I probably would have said in a rather rude tone. Then I might have found a skillet! ha.
