AllenD
I have 2012 Edge with ecoboost engine - love it! The specs say i have an 18.3 gallon fuel tank. My question is how much of that fuel is available to me? When the tank is run dry and the engine quits there must be some left in the tank - a pint, quart, gallon? Does anyone have an answer to this question?
c_bova
obviously if the tank runs dry and the engine quits there is nothing left in it, not very good practice to do that.
Cdpratt69
I would venture to guess that there is actually about 1/2 gallon left when it quits on you. You could probably use some of that if you gt on a severe angle. You never ever want the fuel lines to run totally dry. That's why not all the tank is available to you. I think.....
