Cdpratt69
Does anyone know the part number for the rear cargo platform? I'm talking about the piece that has to be lifted to get to the spare tire and the cargo container area. I've looked for schematics for that area but can't find anything. mooshin
Didn't you get one when you purchased? can't flip over and look at the tag?
Cdpratt69
Lol, I'm not talking about the mat. I am talking about the hard part that has the hinged ends on it that cover the lower part of the rear of the back seats. Yes, I got one when I got my Edge but I want another one. I don't see a part number anywhere on it.
candurin
What color interior? Here's the black/charcoal part #: 7T4Z7813046DC - without cargo management 7T4Z7813046EA - with cargo management Not really sure of difference, but might want to check with dealer... Cdpratt69
Thanks a million!!!! I really appreciate it. I do have the black interior.
Cdpratt69
I finally had a chance to look that part up and I dont think that is the correct part. I think that is the carpet mat that does in the rear and not the cargo management fiber board. Where did you find that part number and was it in a schematic? candurin
Just tried to use my mad google skills (maybe I need to go back to square 1). Try this link: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2011&m=Ford&mo=Edge#Search If that doesn't work, I went to ford parts and put in a 2011 edge, then selected body > Trunk lid and compartment. Click on view image for any part listed. I then saw that it is callout # 454A14. Googled that and came across the part #'s I gave you: http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/partlist/load-compartment-trim~2011-ford-edge-16854970-16855265-16855626.html The description name stinks, but as there really isn't a rear mat, this SHOULD be the part # you need (can't guarantee it ) Edited August 21, 2012 by candurin
Cdpratt69
Thanks...I was on the trail with my google skills and you made me feel a lot better about that being the correct part. No for the bad news. That damn part is $373! WTF? It's fiberboard and a tiny bit of carpet with three hinges....Screw you Ford for gouging on parts! Anyway, thanks again for the help. Cdpratt69
Oh, can you tell me more about your homelink visor please or point me towards any info you may have already shared? Thanks again.
candurin
It's $171 or $249 depending on w/ or w/out cargo management here: http://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/repair-parts.php Concerning the homelink module: I simply purchased a homelink module on ebay (~ $25). I spliced the homelink power wires into the mirror light and it was really easy. I used this as a guide. http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4074 You'll have to pull some of the headliner and pillar cover away from the roof (just pull down carefully) to expose the green plug for the vanity mirror to unplug the power to remove the entire visor. It took me no more than an hour to install the module (use an Xacto or utility knife to remove the plastic for the module). If your concerned about doing it, you can always get a Gentex mirror that has the homelink module in the mirror as well (costs more). Let me know if you need any more details on this. candurin
Apparently mooshin is thumping his chest because his sport came with homelink standard "for the win"... Useless post. Let me know if you plan on tackling the install and run into trouble.
Cdpratt69
Didn't think the Sport came with Homelink. Anyway, I am doing this project. I'll hit you up if I need some advice. Thank you!

Cdpratt69
Somebody at Ford was listening I suppose. When you pay MORE than a Limited for your Sport model then all the luxuries of the Limited should be included. FTW
Cdpratt69
Ok, I do need your help. Where did you get the homelink module. I can't find a grey one on ebay.
candurin
Actually. The color of the roof and pillars is "Stone" (well "light stone" actually). What I actually did (I'm anal), was to purchase a stone visor with homelink and chop up the visor to extract the module and then used that in my visor. You're in luck though! Here's a stone colored module only: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STONE-BEIGE-NEUTRAL-ROLLING-CODE-HOMELINK-TRANSMITTER-SWITCH-SUN-VISOR-HOME-LINK-/160868159959?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25747d51d7 But, you can also go with this one and go frankenstein on it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-Ford-Taurus-Sun-Visor-w-Homelink-OEM-LKQ-/200805047557?hash=item2ec0e9dd05&item=200805047557&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
