flyerjmr33
2008 Ltd. FWD Just turned 52000 miles and inspected the front brake pads--- still have close to 1/2 left on them--- How many miles have you driven on yours? The 20" Pirelli tires look like another 10,000 miles is left--- I do rotate every 6000---
edgedout
07 sel+ Fwd 55,000 I got rid of the oem Conti's at 45,000. Could have gone longer but one tire had a bad band that caused a thumping noise. Replaced them with Michelin LTX MS which are great. Brakes are still good. Platinum White
I rotate my tires every 4000 and inspect the brake pads when I have the wheels off. I have 80K+ on my 09 and am on the second set of tires and the original brake pads. The pads have about 3/8 inch remaining. Maybe its my driving style. Also never have seen any brake dust on the wheels. :hyper:
rogersmj
We now have around 40k miles on our 2011 Edge and the tires are going to have to be replaced within 10k miles, probably more like 5k. I'm not replacing with the same brand as OEM. The brakes...I'm not sure about their life per se, but I have a bit of a pulsation and I'm not sure if it's the brakes or the tires. Probably the tires since I can sense it even when not applying the brakes, but the effect is exaggerated when braking. It could be a warped rotor that, when rotating at speed, is affecting the balance of the wheel.
